the small print

All of the content on this page is free and open source, but please read the licence. Basically it boils down to: you can do what you want as long as you keep it open source and include the original license, but if you use the code in these plugins for a commercial product, you owe me money. And my big brother is a lawyer, so watch it orright. Oh and these plugins are not for use by or for any military organisation. You guys get enough of the world's resources as it is without me contributing. Yes, even if you think you're one of the good guys.

installing

As with any LScript you can run them from the LScript Button in modeler, or you can instal them by choosing Edit plugins> add plugins. I do give free support but I will very politely tell you to RTFM if you ask something schtoopid. Not that there is a manual yet.

How can I help?

Have a hack! Let me know if you come up with anything good, and I'll point a link your way.
If technical writing is your bag, why not have a go at making a manual?
Or..

..you can donate what you think they're worth. I'm a busy animator with kids to upgrade and a render farm to feed, but I'm happy to give away plugins I make for my own use, in the hope that they'll be useful to others. You can encourage me to do more by sending me nice emails, postcards or cashola.

the explodinator

unwelds all the polygons in your object and then scatters, rotates and / or scales them randomly without deforming them. Since it's written in LScript it is extremely slow. No honestly, if you were really quick you could almost do it yourself in the time it takes. Any LScript gurus out there who want to help optimise the code, feel free.
Another warning: this will use up all your undos. Please save your object before applying.

The Scatterator

This finds all the connected groups of polygons and scatters , rotates and / or scales them randomly without deforming them. Like the explodinator, it's extremely slow, in fact it's slower, and it will use up all your undos - save before using

AutoArchive

two scripts which automate the process of incrementally backing up your work. They archive datestamped versions of your objects or scenes, meaning that the name of the current object or scene stays the same.

For this to work you need to install 7zip. 7zip is a free, GPL archive tool, I highly recommend it. Get it here
